Five days of street photography in Chicago with 2 italian street photographers Andrea Scirè and Giuseppe Pons
October 29 @ 9:00 am - November 2 @ 5:00 pm
If you plan to participate at the usual workshop … you are wrong ! The ” Chicago Street Photography ” project was born from the idea of two italian street photographers: (me) Andrea Sciré (fotostreet.it) and Giuseppe Pons (lifephoto.it) to share our Italian way of doing “street ” with Americans like and love the Italian Style: a real Italian learning experience outside the classroom in direct contact with people and urban elements of the American City.
For us, street photography is more than a photographic style ; Street photography is a way of being , of living and perceiving of the day-life. Our Plus is our Italianism. Be “ Italian street photographer ” means get excited for the simple things , to grasp the “candid” side of life, smiling of the grotesque but also convey , with a sweet brutality , those visions that generate emotion.
CSP is a way to “speak” Italian Street Photography in the homeland of Street Photography. Andrea Sciré and Giuseppe Pons are member of the Italian Street Photography ISP, the first collective full dedicated to the street photography only shoot in Italy. The workshop has also The Patronage of the ICC Italian Culture Center of Chicago; the Institute serves as a convenient source for information about Italian life and culture that showcases Italy’s classic and ontemporary heritage with particular reference to art, music, cinema, design, architecture, literature, fashion, theatre, cuisine, science, and technology.
