Jill Cragie's semi-documentary about the the rebuilding of Plymouth after the Blitz. Includes footage of Plymouth councillors debating 'The Plan for Plymouth' drawn up by James Paton-Watson and Sir Patrick Abercrombie. The Copperwheat family is portrayed by a cast of talented amateurs.

Cragie went on to marry Plymouth Devonport's labour MP, Michael Foot, in 1949.

A fascinating film - 70 years on - well it is for a leftie aged town planner
