11pm, as shown on the clock of the iconic Flinders Street train station. The city of Melbourne is still as busy as at peak hour, with the traffic barely moving. Some of the crowd are starting to head home, some are just getting started. This shot was taken from St Paul's Cathedral, on the corner of Flinders Street and Swanston Street. The Arts Centre Tower is on the left. While this is not the most beautiful view of Melbourne by night, it shows some of the life and action in this great place. I am grateful to the people in the foreground for standing still for the full 15 seconds during which the photo was taken. Once I'd gotten the shot, I got on the crowded tram to take me back home to bed.
